Used the button DAILY ART CHALLENGE to the right to access enrichment activities for days we are not in school. Email me with questions at the link above (in the top right corner). If you have a different idea of something to do creative for the day, that is ok! Aim for 45 minutes every other day, or 20-30 every day for being creative/artistic.

Classroom Information
Every term, art students advance through Visual Arts Standards to complete four unit projects. 21st Century Employability Skills, from the National Core Arts Standards, along with Reading and Writing components round out learning objectives. The National Core Arts Standards provide depth of knowledge and achievement. The Standards specify the knowledge and skills that students need in order to reach their personal potential, to enrich and deepen their lives, and to enable them to contribute effectively to society. Performing "table duties" and learning to work in a group to achieve goals is essential in the art room and a desired attribute of future employers. Reading and writing are integral components of each art unit. Standards based grading paired with rigor and relevance provide accountability through a quality curriculum.
